UKUUG Summer Conference 2009

Friday 7th - Sunday 9th August 2009, Birmingham

Call for Proposals now available

This year's Summer Conference promises to be a cracking event, with delegates from several Free Software communities, including:

  • GNU/Linux - Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu, OpenSUSE
  • Telephony - Asterisk, OpenMoko, Android
  • TeX
  • Drupal
  • Games
  • OpenNMS
  • FLOSS languages - Eiffel, Python, Lua, Perl et al

The conference venue is the Birmingham Conservatoire (School of Music) which is at the centre of the City near train and coach stations and within very short walking distance of hotels at every price level.

Friday 7th August is Tutorials Day, and the Conference itself takes place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th August. This year we're aiming for a much more participative conference, and delegates can get involved, put forward ideas for talks and tutorials and generally help by visiting the conference wiki or joining the conference mailing list.

This is your chance to shape our Summer Conference - go to http://summer2009.ukuug.net/.
