Dinner
Join us aboard HMS Belfast on Wednesday 25th March for the Spring 2009 conference dinner! Due to generous sponsorship from Google we are pleased to be able to offer delegates Conference dinner tickets at heavily subsidised rates. The venueHMS Belfast was launched in March 1938 and served throughout the Second World War, playing a leading role in the Battle of North Cape and in the Normandy Landings. She later supported UN forces in Korea and remained in service until 1965. In 1971 she was saved for the nation as a unique reminder of Britain’s Naval Heritage and is the only surviving example of the great fleets of big gun armoured warships built for the Royal Navy in the first half of the twentieth century. HMS Belfast is now owned and managed by the Imperial War Museum and is a popular tourist attraction permanently moored between London Bridge and Tower Bridge. We shall be having our Conference Dinner in the Ships Company Dining Hall. HMS Belfast is just a four minute walk from London Bridge tube station (Northern line). The Dinner will consist of a 3 course meal with wine. The Dinner will be followed by a talk by a veteran of HMS Belfast. It is imperative that your ticket is booked in advance as there is limited availability. Cost to delegates is £15 (inc. VAT). Non-delegate tickets are available at a cost of £35 (inc. VAT), and must be booked with the office at the same time as your conference place and delegate ticket. |
